Intro to RPGs and Story Games
January 3 @ 5:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Join us the first Wednesday of each month as we provide an overview of RPGs and Story Games, and then transition into playing a starter adventure from one of the most popular systems while we teach you the basics in a hands-on session.
The content is a 1 hour overview of RPGs and Story Games followed by 3ish hours of game play.
This session is intended for total newbies who don’t know much about Role-Playing or Story Games but are interested in getting started.
We request that attendees for this event be 12 or older. The content will likely include violence (usually against fantasy creatures) but we try to keep the table-talk PG13 for these public events. We will offer separate, kid-focused events for children under 12 in the future.
A $5 cover charge is charged for this event, and spaces are available on a first-come, first served basis, so please arrive early to ensure you have a seat.
Once you’ve attended this session once, you should be ready to try out any of our RPG one-shots, or get started in D&D Adventure League or Pathfinder Society. Don’t worry if you don’t know what any of that means yet. 🙂
Groups of People
If you have a whole group of friends who are interested in learning how to play, we can also schedule group sessions for groups of 3+ people. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a day/time for your group with our gameskeeper.
Rook & Rogue is a business that values diversity — women, minorities, and LGBTQA+ are welcome here, and are strongly encouraged to attend this event. Hatespeech of any kind will not be tolerated — except against Goblins. Goblins are total jerks.
